About World Cup

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, marking the largest edition in the tournament's history with an expanded field of 48 teams. This edition features a total of 104 matches, a group stage consisting of 12 groups, and a knockout round beginning from the round of 32, with the competition taking place from June 12 to July 20, 2026.

The knockout stage begins with the Round of 32 and progresses through the Round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final, spanning seven rounds in total; each tie is decided in a single match, with draws leading to extra time and, if still level, a penalty shootout.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup was held from June 12 to July 20, 2026, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a total of 104 matches played across multiple host cities.
